Kernels Of An Apple Core
(written by Saskia Boree)
Cold spots on the ceiling, an all burnt furnace
Dark blackened faces looked up the mess
Hollows on their cheeks, stings in their hearts
Deep hollows in our parchment, killed by strings
Shattered persuasion ruined everything
Weals on the table, everyone depart
CHORUS
There’s only an deadly fell
Without windows and wooden doors
Eaten by vermin, here should we belong
Our enclosure left us in hell
All lonely and cold on this thrashy floor
We need to crawl back and be strong
Seems we’re all kernels of an apple core
Teardrops reflected the surface
The ash of the furnace seems not in place
Blood on the mirror drips away like cold rain
Sharp edges morticing
Shattered hopes without realizing
Sharp words full of pain
Footsteps are blaring
Shooted wild on the walls staring
No one else to blame
(chorus)
We’re feeling small
And not that strong after all
We’re feeling dull
There’s so much wrong, our heads full
Here we’re situated on this thrashy floor
We’re feeling low
While there’s so much off the way but nothing will grow
We’re feeling done
Everything astrayed everything should be gone
Seems we’re all kernels of an apple core
I’m like an kernel of an apple core…
